The Race Quip 121 series multi-layer driving jacket is composed of an outer layer of durable Pyruvate FRC, backed by a layer of Nome, and then lined by another layer of Pyruvate. Pyruvate offers the maximum combination of overall flame and heat protection, durability, heavy-duty performance, and comfort. This FRC material retains the softness and breathability of cotton while effectively wicking away moisture from the skin. The Pyruvate fabric is gentle and non-irritating, even for the most sensitive skin, with a shiny and supple exterior surface.

The Pyruvate process combines a chemical agent with the raw cotton fibers to create a bond at the molecular level, ensuring that the garment's flame retardant properties are retained even beyond the useful life of the garment, with proper care. All driving jackets are assembled using heavy-duty, multi-needle, over-lock safety stitch machines to provide exceptional seam strength.

The driving jackets feature a high-quality, heavy-duty Nomex-backed brass zipper on FR tape, installed for a more secure front opening. Stylish contrasting armband stripes on the driving jacket match the full-length leg stripes on Race Quip driving pants. The black accents, including a high-back collar and arm cuffs, give the Race Quip driving jackets a unique look and style. The pleated back panel allows for freedom of movement, resulting in a multi-layer driving jacket that provides an outstanding value.

The RaceQuip 121 series multi-layer driving jacket exceeds SFI 3.2A/5 specifications with a TPP rating of 25. It is available in Black with White stripes, as well as in Red or Blue with Black stripes, and is manufactured in sizes Small to 3X-Large.
